Jackson’s latest research^† conducted with the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College finds that the high-inflation environment—coupled with broader economic uncertainty and concerns about the future of Social Security—is making consumers anxious about their retirement goals.

More than half the consumers we surveyed are more pessimistic now about their financial security than they were two years ago, and pre-retirees are planning to delay retirement at elevated rates.¹
